poking elbows achey back

crumpled water
bottle slaughter
litter rolling while she titters
on the phone to ma and pa
don't you wish you had a car?
then at least the endless squabble
of the city's homeward hobble
could be replaced with humphreys droning
and self-righteous whispered groaning
isn't modern work a joy
a tête-à-teat with the hoi polloi!
